Write Chase on Dear Elder

Hey everyone,

There is a faster and free way to write to Chase. Go on http://www.dearelder.com/ and on the left it says Send Stuff and below Provo MTC Free. Set up a free account and go to write letter. Once there enter in Chase's name and mission info.

The cool thing is that he will get it that day. They will print out for him to read.

Anyways thought I would pass it on!

Thanks!

11/17/2009 "Six weeks to go!"

Hey Everyone,

The email system sucks here. I spent 25 minutes typing you a letter just for it to fail. Ah the majesty of LDS computers, Right Dad! Well, lets hope this gets to you. Everything is going great here. Thanks for the new batch of cinnamon rolls, I am kinda cinnamon rolled out though. Thanks to Kara for keeping my friends up to date and getting the addresses. Also if you use Dear Elder.com I get you email in a letter that same day that way I don’t have to waste my 30 minute time reading the ones you sent me.I can plan what to write so on Monday I can just send you the email, cause the more time I have the better. Our group is still solid, oh and my watch exploded. Not sure how but it is done for. Everything is great, time is flying by. I continue to learn so much each day, but then there are the days I lose passion. That is just how it is., I guess.I guess its cause this is the MTC, not another country where I meet new people each day who need the gospel. I know it will be different. This sucks to rehash everything into a letter! Spanish is still coming great. Apparently, Elizabeth Smart is here, going to France. This week we are supposed to get 600 new missionaries, two whole new districts to our already bloated zone. Should be interesting. Exactly 6 weeks left is what they tell me. Word on the street is Elder Holland is coming on thanksgiving. Even if its not him well will have an Apostle. People love to spread lies about who is coming here for some reason, it is mildly entertaining, and I am realizing myself becoming more easily entertained. It is finally cold, we got snow on Saturday too. It’s a nice change of pace. Even though I have lived in Utah all my life I don’t think I have ever seen Mt Timpanagos or whatever it is called, covered in snow, its awesome, it is not like the mountains by our house. It is very Lord of the Ringish.

I am grateful to be here. I am finally realizing what we can do here and how much the spirit abides here, I think it takes a few weeks for everyone to grasp. It is just too hectic at first. I love you all!! Thank you for all the letters and packages! Thank you for all of your prayers. They are most definitely needed. I hope I remember everything. Sorry again for the handwriting. And give the Dear Elder.com a try. Thanks again, with love, Elder Roosendaal.

He finishes his letter with his testimony in Spanish

Chase's first letter!

What a crazy, wonderful 5 days it has been. I feel like I have grown so much. It is amazing how much more effective learning in all things is when you have one focus and that focus is Jesus Christ. My companion is Elder Chase, if you can believe it and it gets rather confusing. I got called to be district leader. My district is amazing. We truly are meant to be together. We have all grown together in just these few days. Spanish is coming along great! My teachers are amazing, especially Brother Murphy, he served in Madrid, Spain. Me and my companion get along well. Most of the Elders are homesick, yet I am not which suits me. I love how we have one classroom and a rigorous schedule. So many great experiences. I bore part of my testimony in Spanish this fast Sunday. It was great! The ice cream bar is awesome, only Wednesday and Sunday. We went to the temple this morning. It was very nice. This place is really awesome, I miss you all. I need to get back to work. It is personal study time. Good bye for now, I hope all is well. I will continue to pray for you all, en espanol. Hasta Leugo! Love Elder Rosey
