Jan 17th 2011 "New Sector"

Hey, everything is going great here in the new sector. a little crazy trying to get on the ball with everything. getting to know the leaders and some members. but i have to say i am very impressed with how the ward functions here. the best i have seen in my whole mission. i miss people in san fran but i was ready for the change. somehow it always works out like that. we finished teaching one of the investigadors that the last missionaries left and he got baptized this weekend, it was pretty hectic getting everything prepared when we dont really know anyone, but luckily the organization here is pretty good. his name is eduardo, and he is way awesome, so excited to be baptized , excited for everything the priesthood. he is 30 years old and lives with some friends. he has been out of work for a couple of weeks so we could teach him everyday and now that he got baptized he has all these job interviews this week. sooo cool. the house is cool here, but we are actually looking in to moving into an apartment. 10x nicer and cheaper if you can believe. we sound some this week and we are going to talk to the office today, should be cool. im glad ryans birthday dinner went well. sounds like a lot of fun, im just glad i wont have to miss it next time. ooo we had tacos too on saturday, this awesome return missionary and his wife made them for us. pretty sweet welcom. i cant believe kara has 27 weeks. i am really glad that all went well in your training and that you certified. that is so neat. im sorry i have been blowing it with writing grammy, but i promise i will have it ready next week. just tell her that i love her and that she needs to continue to read pray and go to church to be able to overcome these trials. i really am so grateful for her effort and she needs to recognize that god is grateful too. i hope your lesson goes well mom, dallin h oaks is amazing its hard to go wrong. ha. im stoked that you continue to ski, that means by next season you will be able to rip it up with me. but i hope you guys have a great week. all is well here.

Love you guys!

Jan 10th "Leaving San Francisco"

Well, ive got some news. me and Elder Mathews are out of san francisco leaving elder davis alone with elder layer. I got "whitewashed" into cobarruvias with... Elder Ramirez, the same ramirez that used to be in san fran. and im district leader again. crazyness. just so you know whitewash is when two elders get send to a new area without knowing anybody. not even eachother, except for our case. ha. but im stoked. we are going to work like crazy, we already had a lot of chemistry when we were in san francisco. the house is pretty nice. not nearly as nice as my last one but its got its benefits. except i had to buy a chair to study in today. we are living with two other elders, byers and torres. they are way cool and we have a ping pong table in the house. should be fun. it was crazy saying good bye to everyone in san fran. i was there for sooo long. the members are really great people. y el idioma està bien. no se preocupe mamà. yo puedo hablarlo suficiente. thats sounds like a great experience you guys had. i look forward to that oppurtunity to go to the temple with you. its been tooo long. i hope all is well this week. i will pray for you mom especially.

Jan. 3rd 2011- "Nice talking to you at Christmas"

Well good times, it was very nice talking to you all. a nice surprise to hear from nic smith. new years eve was fun, a lot of fire works actually, shaking the windows in our house. we hung out with the same elders as we did at christmas, played all kinds of games. im sorry you guys arent feeling so well. but im stoked that you are skiing now mom, it will be fun to go together next year. we are in the last week of the change and it appears i may be leaving san francisco. signs indicate yes. so i should be writing you next monday from my new sector. we will see. im kind of bummed because we are working with some really awesome people here. but i know there is a lot more ahead. that is great you are the relief society teacher, there is no greater calling in the church then that of a teacher. please take advantage of it, take the time to study the lessons doctrine profoundly and you will find great joy in your work. seriously. i felt so overwhelmed in the beginning of my mission i felt like i had 0 teaching skills. nothing, just memorize and repeat. but i have learned so much from others and from the example of the savior, the greatest of all teachers. he gives us so many great examples in the new testament. i encourage you to study it also. i hope you guys have a great new year, full of recognizing the lords hand in your lives.

I love you
